Silver for Molly in Glasgow

Selston’s Molly Renshaw added a silver medal to her individual 200m breaststroke bronze after helping England qualify for the women’s 4x100m medley relay final at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on the final day of swimming yesterday.

Renshaw swam the second leg in the morning’s heat as England qualified second fastest behind Australia, but did not swim in the evening final in which England took silver.

Australia won their 19th and final gold medal in the pool as, led by an impressive butterfly leg by Emma McKeon and brought home in the freestyle with a stunning leg by the formidable 100m freestyle world champion Cate Campbell, Australia won in three minutes 56.23 seconds, ahead of England (3:57.03) and Canada (4:00.57).
