Selston show no mercy as they smash nine past lowly Kirton

It was goals galore for leaders Selston on Saturday as they overcame bottom-of-the-table Kirton Brickworks 9-0.
Jay Cooper’s solo goal put them in front on 15 minutes before he headed home Jake Wright’s cross for his second a minute later.

Hide AdChristian Davies set up Tim Moore who finished well to make it 3-0 on 25 minutes before Cooper completed his hat-trick on 31 after being played in by Joe Riley.
The fifth came just before half-time as Joe Taylor volleyed home Jamie Renshaw’s cross.
Cooper got his fourth with a lob on 58 minutes before Moore scored again a minute later and Taylor also added his second after Cooper struck the crossbar.
The win was rounded off late on when Perry Marriott headed home from a corner.

In Division Two, leaders Watnall Athletic won 4-0 at AFC Clifton, Martin Ward (2), Nicklaus Thorpe and Mackenzy Henson with the goals, and Kimberley MW AFC were 4-1 victors over FC Samba.
