Selston’s reign at the top of the Premier Division is over after a second successive defeat saw them lose 2-0 at home to Bingham Town on Saturday.

Goals at either end of the game proved key as strikes from Jamie Archer and Edward Hogdson on eight and 89 minutes helped Bingham to victory. Selston drop to second, two points behind West Bridgford who have two games in hand.

Awsworth Villa, meanwhile responded in the best possible way to their 11-1 hammering last week by proceeding to record two successive 4-0 wins against Cotgrave on Saturday and then at Keyworth United on Tuesday night to lift them away from the danger zone.

In Division One, Underwood Villa kept the pressure on at the top with a 3-0 win at home to South Normanton Reserves, Josh Hunt bagging a hat-trick to move them seven points behind Newark Flowserve with four games in hand.

Kimberley MW Reserves were 2-1 winners at Nottinghamshire on Saturday with goals from Danny Chaplin and Ian Shepherd before then hosting Magdala Amateurs on Wednesday and winning 2-1, Chaplin netting from 40 yards and Corey Wilson also scoring.

Kimberley MW AFC remain title favourites in Division Two. They beat AFC Clifton 2-0 on Saturday thank to Shaw Hutchinson and Danny Walsh, then romped to a 9-0 win over Nottinghamshire Reserves on Tuesday.
