Selston FC booked their place in the Notts FA Senior County Trophy Final with a convincing 4–1 victory over AC United at the Forest Sports Zone.

The game turned in the 26th minute when the hosts were reduced to ten men after their number six was shown a straight red card following an off-the-ball incident with Selston captain Jack Cockram.

Selston quickly made their advantage count. Alex “Boo” Hardman opened the scoring on 30 minutes, finishing smartly from Elliott Bland’s cross, before Bland himself doubled the lead with a stunning 25-yard strike seven minutes later.

Tom Batterham made it three early in the second half after good work from Hines, although AC United briefly reduced the deficit on 77 minutes.

Deep into stoppage time, substitute Black broke clear to add a fourth and seal Selston’s place in the final.

Defenders Josh Shaw and Ty Short earned joint Man of the Match honours for a dominant display at the back.

Second-half substitute Tony Gbopo scored twice as Eastwood CFC thrahed Harrowby United 4-1 to maintain their promotion play-offs push in GCE Hire Fleet United Counties League Premier Division North.

Gbopo replaced Alfie Flynn in the 59th minute at Coronation Park and then found the back of the net twice on 68 and 78 minutes.

Tyler Dacres had given the Red Badgers the lead on 24 minutes but Harrowby levelled shortly before half-time.

Harry Wood restored the home side’s lead just past the hour before Gbopo’s brace kept Eastwood firmly in the play-off hunt.

In the same division, Kimberley Miner’s Welfare lost 3-2 at home to second-placed Boston Town.

The visitors went into an early two-goal lead but strikes from Max Thornberry, on 19 minutes, and Tom Hilton on 49 minutes levelled it up for Kimberley.

But Boston got the winner on 73 minutes and Kimberley finished with 10 men after Josh Timson was sent off.
