Selston claim their second win of the season
These two sides had met already this season in an early midweek game, with Selston coming out 4-1 winners.
Selston started brightly with Ben Moore delivering some good quality balls for Sean Gregory to perform his usual marauding role down the right hand side, but the game became a midfield battle with Selston threatening without creating anything clear cut and Collingham’s good work repelled by Gary Breach and Shaun Farnsworth in the centre of defence.

After great work from Ben Moore, Joe Riley and Aaron Brady in a series of one-twos down the left hand side, Brady was then left in the area with just the keeper to beat and he did so with aplomb, chipping nicely into the far corner.
After half time, Selston picked up where they left off with Carl Moore, Gregory and Riley all having decent efforts on goal without troubling the Collingham keeper unduly.
In the 79th minute Riley broke down the right wing and centred at pace where Brady again finished with his left foot to make it 3-0 to Selston.

On 84 minutes Ryan Rushen latched onto a ball in from the left and finished well into the bottom corner to reduce the arrears.
Collingham continued to press an increasingly frantic Selston and in the final minute Rushen pounced on a defensive mix up to slot home for 3-2.
Collingham’s never-say-die attitude made the scoreline look more respectable and Selston could perhaps be thankful that the game didn’t go on for another ten minutes for fear of not walking away with all three points as they eventually did.
