Sherwood Wolf Hunt crushed North East Worcestershire Ravens 100-6 at Debdale Park Sports Club.

With the Wolf Hunt sitting in fifth place in the Midlands Premier League and several teams above them with no game, they had the opportunity to make a claim for the play off finals on the 22nd August and took that opportunity with both hands.

Wolf Hunt were 52-0 ahead at the break with the power of Brent Leivers and Gavin Saxby too much to handle.

The Ravens enjoyed a dominant 12 minute spell at the start of the second half, before normal service was resumed for Wolf Hunt.

Glenn Holt bagged two tries as Wolf Hunt scored at regular interviews on their way to the century of points.

In the development game ahead of the main match, Wolf Hunt were beaten 56-24 by Birmingham Hawks.

Cheltenham referee Malcolm Holmes officiated both games and also donated his match fees to the Francis Appleton Rehabilitation Fund.

The gesture helped attract widespread interest in the recovery of Appleton.

Anyone wishing to donate to the fund, which will be used to support Francis during his time off work, can do so directly to the club or on the Just Giving page.

Any monies will be held in a reserved funds account and used to support Mr Appleton until he is back to work full-time.
