The Reds won thanks to Tom Denton’s ninth minute strike.

“I thought we were disciplined throughout. We know the way they play 4-3-2-1. They get a lot of bodies in the midfield area,” he said.

“We got the goal at the right time. Every player put a massive performance in.

“We were really well disciplined off the ball and we spoke in the week about what we needed to do to get three points here was to be really disciplined off the ball.

“I thought we were excellent. A great away performance. Our second goal was never offside which would have relived the pressure but we got the three points.”

Heath also feels his squad are now developing well following their recent defeat to Brackley.

He added: “Against Brackley it was a bit of a strange one. When 8 or 9 players have shockers you are always in trouble no matter what you put out or what formation you play.

“But what they have done is they have picked themselves up and we said it was a one off and literally from the brackley game we have performed. We got beat against Curzon - how we managed to do that I dont know because the performance was really good.

“I said a few weeks ago we are taking short steps, the players are understanding exactly what we want from them. its becoming more clearer but it was always going to take time.

“Tonight is a good night. i will enjoy it but the players cant enjoy it because we have another game on Monday. (Against Southport).”
