Raceline Tip of the Day

Thousands of racing enthusiasts have travelled over to Paris this weekend for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe meeting at Longchamp. But there is also plenty of good action in this country today.

Saturday 6th October

ULTRASONIC

Newmarket 5.00 WIN

Sir Michael Stoute’s three-year-old filly, owned by Khalid Abdulla, has taken time to warm to her task this season. But since the application of a hood, she has looked a quality sprinter heading for Pattern prizes. In July, she quickened to beat older rivals in a handicap at Newmarket before stepping up in class to run a blinder behind the season’s most progressive speedster, Mince, at Pontefract in August. A well-regarded daughter of under-rated sire, Mizzen Mast, she gets another crack at Listed company here, and the stiff 6f on soft ground is expected to be right up her street. Of the opposition, Hezmah is respected but might well get stuck in the mud.
