But it might pay to side with Hughie Morrison’s two-year-old son of Lucky Story in what is a run-of-the-mill nursery event. The colt was quietly fancied and well backed at tasty prices at Newmarket last Thursday, only to struggle to cope with a red-hot gallop. This lesser race and longer trip should suit, and it’s probably significant that connections are aiming to make amends so soon.
