RACELINE: Tip of the Day 11th October

We bounced back into the winner’s enclosure yesterday with an explosive six-length scorer at Kempton. Here is today’s selection:

Thursday October 11

GREEN PARK

Ayr 3.10 WIN

It’s not often a horse goes into a race with a record of more appearances than his jockey. But that’s the case with this nine-year-old sprinter, one of the hardiest veterans in the game, who clocks up his 121st run this afternoon! In stark contrast, his apprentice pilot, Luke Leadbitter, is being given the leg up for only the 11th time in his short career. Not that that should put you off because the youngster rode a fine race on the gelding at Haydock in September when he was pipped by just a short head. Despite his advancing years, the Declan Carroll-trained warrior remains in terrific form and if similar hold-up tactics are employed today, he is capable of bagging another fully deserved victory.
