Quality bowling by club's juniors

Six of the more experienced junior members of the club took part.

Around 30 parents, grandparents, friends and club coaches watched the competition.

A club spokesman said: “The quality of the bowling was outstanding with the outcome in doubt up to the deciding match.”

Director of coaching for the club, Mike Lake, thanked the coaches for the support offered to the juniors at the challenging competition, and for the time devoted on Saturday mornings to the young members.

He said could be few better-supported clubs than Mansfield.

President Linda Alvey presented the cup to Sammi Hurst, whose name will be engraved on it, and the runners-up trophy to Lauren Walker.
