The world’s top two ranked players are certain to throw up a fantastic spectacle in front of around 6,000 fans who will pack into the Nottingham Arena.

The Dutchman raced out of the blocks in the tournament securing wins in his first three matches, but has drawn his last two against Adrian Lewis and Peter Wright.

Taylor is unbeaten in his last four matches having suffered defeat on the opening night against Gary Anderson who had also beaten him a month earlier in the World Championship Final.

Another eagerly awaited contest on tomorrow night’s card sees the two rivals from St. Helens, Stephen Bunting and current league leader Dave Chisnall go head-to-head.

Chisnall has been the surprise package of this year’s event and currently leads the way having produced four wins and a draw from his five matches.

Last time out he was very impressive in disposing of world champion Gary Anderson with ease, running out a 7-2 winner.

Bunting’s start has been completely different to his hometown pal and he is dangerously close to the bottom two, although he will hope that last week’s win over Adrian Lewis can kick start his campaign.

Another mouth-watering contest tomorrow night sees 2007 world champion Raymond Van Barneveld take on James Wade, with both players searching for some much needed form.

Both players are currently languishing around mid-table and come to the Midlands on the back of defeats last week in Exeter.

The battle to avoid being eliminated from the competition will intensify in Nottingham as the league’s bottom two players square off.

Kim Huybrechts played beautifully last week in beating Van Barneveld 7-5 and actually missed double 12 for a nine-dart finish before claiming victory with a 170 checkout.

Wright is yet to win a game this season but he has improved somewhat of late in drawing his last three matches against Taylor, Van Gerwen and Van Barneveld.

The evening’s other game sees Gary Anderson take on Adrian Lewis with both players needing the points for different reasons.

Reigning world champion Anderson is hoping to apply some pressure to the top three whilst Lewis needs the points to avoid being sucked into the battle at the wrong end of the table.
