Mansfield’s Personal Best Academy School of Champions are continuing their fund raising campaign to make sure club youngsters selected can get to the WUMA World Championships in Geneva and the WMKF World Championships in Tunisia.
The club need to raise as much as possible for travel and accommodation at both championships.
Lia Morley, Elisha Morley, Frankie Ulyatt, Millie Mc Conville, Laura Merry, Courtney Marke,
Lisette Westwater, Jack Jones, Henry Williams and Chloe Adcock, along with parents and
organiser Colin Morley raised £365.86 from donations in Mansfield town centre after performing martial art demonstrations and talking to people about the championships.
The campaign continued at the PBA Open Day event, where parents and supporters joined the team in raising an incredible £1,300 from cake stalls, raffles, barbecues, bouncy castle fun, Martial Art challenges and lots more.
The young athletes competing at the World Championships are working hard in training in preparation for the events and are excited at the prospect of representing their club and country.
