Paige climbing national gymnastics rankings

The girls started on floor with Paige performing an elegant routine, scoring 11.5.

Next was vault and Paige competed a powerful yurchenko flic dynamically to score 12.7 and placed her fourth on this piece.

For bars Paige performed her newly-perfected routine, showing great strength and power with bonus skills to score 12.65, placing her third in GB on this piece.

She finished with beam and, even with two unfortunate falls, scored 10.8.

Paige finished in a well deserved 10th place in level 3 out of 45 gymnasts from 12 regions around the country, and combined with her compulsory 3 score from Nationals in April puts her ranking now to 11th in Great Britain for her age.

Paige has continued to progress at every national competition, which coach Jemma Wilson is pleased with, and is now waiting to hear about national squad selection and moving forward to work towards compulsory 2, which are more difficult and harder moves.

Paige trains at Notts Gymnastics Academy for 24 hours per week.
