Outlaws are torn apart by Sherwood Wolf Hunt

After a disappointing match the week before the Wolf Hunt played with much more intent this week, doing everything that they’d worked on in training to a tee.

The Wolf Hunt took the lead in the second minute as Dan Pearson sold an outrageous dummy from five metres out and showed fantastic footwork to go over for the first try untouched.

More pressure followed and the second try came on 15 minutes when Jake Mason and Mathew Upton combined to put Olly Wardman in at the corner.

A minute later they scored again as Michael Allen chipped in for the first of his three tries after being set up by Fabian Wikander.

Jono Colie added the next try with help from Upton, and after Declan Dykes was denied a try by the referee, they scored again through Peter Alldread after he was found by a fine round-the-corner offload from Ben Lee.

On the 38th minute, Jono Richardson scored after a superb solo run and the Wolf Hunt led 32-0 at half-time.

It didn’t take long for the next try to arrive as in the 43rd minute, Glen Holt scored under the sticks, before Alldread added the next after a good move three minutes later.

A lull in the scoring then ended on 64 minutes when Allen was found by Upton and he beat two players to go over under the posts, Allen then repeating the feat moments later.

Outlaws finally broke their duck after Wolf Hunt had knocked on 20 yards out, but the hosts soon registered again as Wikander went over after a quick steal 10 metres out.

Two more tries would round off the victory, first Gavin Saxby picking out a great running line and crashing over in the 73rd minute, then Tobias Lieber powering through to complete the rout.
