Dibble broke the record in a match dedicated to his relatives Shaun and Roy the day before Father's Day.

His corn attack paid off as he took a colossal weight of 370lb and, with over an hour left of the match,the whole lake switched off as all anglers struggled for bites.

Dibble caught the fantastic weight caught in four hours off peg 35, with Pete Lambert, on peg 34, falling a ton short weighing 271lb-11oz.

Across the lake pegged on 3 was Gary Summerscales, who took full advantage of fish being at the top end of the lake.

He weighed in a commendable 207lb-3oz, followed by Dave Lilliman with 203lb-15.

Section winners were: Shaun Green 194lb-12oz peg 6, Dave Sewell 187lb-9oz, peg 32, Paul Skeldon 125lb-14oz, peg 29, Billy Harrison 120lb-5oz, peg 17.

Personal best weights went to Alan Slack 159lb-8oz, peg 37, and Steve Arabskyj 108lb-13oz, peg 26.

Over at Sherwood Forest Fishery, the first match since the lock down proved popular, but with not much between anglers it still fished very well with six weights over 100lb, 15 weights over 67lb.

Topping the Holmedale Lake list,Steve Morgan fished his favorite method the pellet feeder with pellet hookbait cast to the small island.

He fished from peg 40, feeding 6mm pellets over the top he had carp – 4lb queuing up to take his bait, finishing with 173lb 3oz, 40lb to spare over Mick Langton, who was fishing the pole and pellet for carp – 7lb at peg 32.
