PREVIEW: Under starters orders for Chad Family Fun Day at Southwell Racecourse
Chad Family Fun Day is a key part of the Southwell Racecourse fixture list every year, with a rich history of entertainment and large, enthusiastic crowds, with all generations enjoying a great day out.
Once again, on top of exciting flat racing, there is a whole range of different entertainment for the children including pony rides, face painting, fairground rides and a Frosty "Let It Go" Interactive Stage Show Adventure.
There is a best dressed competition for the kids too and this year the theme is also Frozen.
Children’s entertainment wristbands are available from £4 at the race card kiosk behind the grandstand and kids can enjoy the many funfair rides on offer all day long.
If you do want to bring a picnic, you can, together with your own chairs, small tables and sun shields – but no alcohol is allowed to be brought onto the premises, and also strictly no tents, gazebos or wind breaks either.
Tickets are from just £15 for adults and, as ever at Southwell, children under the age of 18 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Gates open at 12.05pm, ahead of the first race at 2.05pm and last race 5.20pm.
Nottinghamshire's Southwell Racecourse is in Occupation Lane, Rolleston, near Newark - just half an hour from Mansfield, 32 miles from Chesterfield and 43 miles south of Sheffield.
It is one of only six racecourses in the UK to have an all-weather track and is the only one with a fibresand surface, a mixture of sand and wispy fibres.

Dress Code
The dress code in hospitality areas and the Premier Enclosure is smart casual. Sportswear, trainers and fancy dress are not permitted.
There is no dress code in the Grandstand, or when One Enclosure is in operation.
Fancy dress is allowed, providing it's decent and would not cause offence to other guests. The dress code does not apply to children under 10.
