Ollerton racer looking for sponsorship backing

Lynden Leatherland needs your support this season.

Leatherland will race in the National Superstock 600s for the family run GL Fabrications Racing team.

The National Superstock is a support class run alongside the British Superbike series.

“We are in desperate need of sponsors so we can compete in the most competitive season ahead,” he said.

“I have previously raced in the 'HEL performance British Junior Supersports where I have achieved multiple national podiums, lap records and multiple club race wins, so I am definitely used to being at the sharp end of racing.

“The National Superstock 600 is an extremely expensive class to be racing in.

"We can list off £25,000 before the season even starts and an extra £20,000 throughout the season on tyres, fuel, spares race entries and transport.

"My aims for this season are to learn the bike as fast as I can, it’s a completely different style of riding compared to the 400, with the Yamaha R6 being 20kg heavier and having wider tyres.

“I’m aiming to be one of the top rookies and aiming for consistent points scoring positions.”

The British superbikes is a high class elite sport and has a huge following crowds at circuits, with figures of around 60-70,000 in attendance at each round.
