The Pheasant Hill club will be able to serve up some aces on the outdoor courts from March 29 following the publication of the Government’s roadmap to exit lockdown.

Simon Ramsey, the Club Secretary, commented: “Everyone is delighted to have the return to tennis confirmed.

“It’s been a long wait and, with the easing of the weather, we have all been hoping for positive news about a return to play.

“Let’s hope that it’s going to be game, set and match for the COVID-19 lockdowns and that Club members, and others wishing to try some tennis, can start to use the club’s excellent facilities once again.”

The club now plan to serve up some new membership deals in a bid to capitalise on a return to tennis.

Membership Secretary Helen Riby said: “We’ll shortly be announcing special membership deals, firstly , for the month of April and then for the full new season which start 1st May.

“During lockdown the management group has also been working on a programme of activities to offer exciting tennis playing opportunities to new and existing members alike throughout the 2021/22 season. More details to follow.”

The popular club has four grass courts, five hard courts (three floodlit), parking and a brand new clubhouse.

The club have a range of members, of all abilities from four years to over 80 years old and are committed to promoting the sport in Mansfield.
