Leatherland got familiar with the circuit during Thursday’s pratice sessions before he qualified second in the following day’s rookies 600 class. He also had two races of which he finished second in the first race and won the second race.

On the Saturday he had a crash in the first race due to catching a back marker which pushed him onto the grass while overtaking him, but there was a red flag due to another incident and so he was included in the result because he was still in the race when the flag came out.

In the next race the bike cut out while he was in the 2nd but on that lap there was a red flag again due to an incident and he was able to get the bike started and went back to the grid for just a short re run of 3 laps in which he got his head down and won the race, also setting a new club lap record which has stood since 2017 in that class.

His next time out is at Donington park on 9, 10 and 11th of May with the same club.
