Making the most of drawing the end peg on the day peg 52 with the wind blowing to that end, Rich fished the pole with soft and banded pellet out and corn in the margins he landed carp – 8lb in his match winning weight of 105lb 1oz.

A slow start after a few cold nights but as the match progressed it got better and made for a close match with one fish separating the top three.

At the top of the list Wayne Chapman fished the pole and pellet shalla out at 16m catching small carp – 3lb finishing with 82lb 9oz. Will in 2nd place put 40lb of margin fish in his net in the last hour needed just one more to win.
