Elliott wins for second week in a row

Michael Elliott won Sherwood Forest Fisheries’ Wednesday Open at Holmedale Lake for the second week in a row.

Elliott drew the same peg again and the outcome was the same but with a greater marging.

Starting off on the pole and pellet on the deck, he struggled to catch at any pace and foul hooking most fish.

A change to his shalla rig brought instant results landing carp – 8lb for a total of 177lb 2oz.

Second placed Steve Morgan fished the pellet feeder and pellet and had 100lb in his nets after just two hours, but the fish back off and he only had 66lb for the rest of the match finishing with 166lb 13oz.
