British Superbike Championship leader Kyle Ryde sets new all-time fastest lap record at Donington Park
Kyle Ryde set a new all-time fastest lap at Donington Park in the latest round of British Superbike Championship action.
It was a weekend of close margins as Championship leader Ryde was challenged by Max Cook and Scott Redding throughout round two of the ZYN British Superbike Championship.

Ryde set a new all-time fastest lap at Donington Park, beating the previous record set by Glenn Irwin in 2025 with an impressive 1:26:123. He also bagged his fifth win of the season so far and a treble-podium finish to sit top of the standings with Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing.
The Jacksdale rider finished third in Race One, behind Cook and Redding respectively. The three put the pressure on each other throughout the race, with Ryde taking the lead in lap 14 before relinquishing to eventual winner Redding five laps later. A red flag brought the race to an early finish at the start of the last lap as rain increasingly continued to fall.
Ryde set a stunning new fastest pace onboard the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducati during pre-qualifying. He started in P2 for the Race Two and moved up into first on lap five to finish 1.8 seconds ahead of Redding to reclaim the top step of the podium.
The final race at Donington Park saw Ryde come out on top once more to clinch a total five wins from six so far in this 2026 season. Despite further pressure from Redding, Ryde held firm to claim the victory and top the Championship standings by 19 points.
“Super proud of how I rode today with a mega bike underneath me,” Ryde wrote on social media after a successful Sunday. “Feels so special to do it at Donington Park. Thanks to everyone that came to support, it’s much appreciated.”
Reigning champion Ryde will now turn his attention to the next round in the ZYN British Superbike Championship. Round three at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife will take place throughout 19-21st June.
