Ben and Tom Birchall eager to return to sidecar action

Ben and Tom Birchall will resume their season on 8th August.

The Mansfield brothers will begin their 2020 British Sidecar Championship on 8-9 August at Cadwell park after RKB Motorsport announced their revised calendar for the season.

Three of the five rounds will be held in conjunction with the British Superbike Championship.

Ben Birchal saidl: “We’re really glad we seem to be coming out the other side of this terrible period and thankful that we haven’t been affected by it as badly as others.

“We’re really happy that we can now start to plan for the races ahead and test the developments we have been working on since the end of last season.

“With the extra time we’ve had due to the lockdown, we’ve also been able to bring forward some extra planned improvements and the team is really excited to test these out. Hopefully they will give us an edge for the 2021 season.

“Tom and I are thrilled to be racing full-time back in Britain, supporting the BSB Championship is always incredible and the fans are amazing.

“If all goes well, we will try and fit in some European Road Races as well. We’d like to thank everyone for their continued support. We’re looking forward to getting back on track and hopefully some great racing and results.”

The season will see races take part at Cadwell Park, Snetterton, Knockhill. Donington Park and Brands Hatch.
