Morgan fished his favourite method the pellet feeder with pellet hookbait cast to the small island from peg 40, feeding 6mm pellets over the top he had carp – 4lb queuing up to take his bait.

He finished with 173lb 3oz, to take the win over Mick Langon by 40lb.

Neil Hurst came third with 123-8-0, followed by Will Evans (114-5-0), Russ Brooks, (102-15-0) and McCauley Duke (101-5-0).
