Ollie storms into Glasgow final
Kirkby swimmer Ollie Hynd stormed into tonight’s 200m SM8 individual medley final at the Commonwealth Games this morning, blowing the rest of the field away by five seconds in 2.26.94.
That means Hynd, already the Olympic, Word and European title holder, could not only complete his grand slam of titles tonight, but also knows the world record is in his sights too.
Hynd was five seconds ahead of nearest challenger, Australia’s Jesse Aungles, and now prepares for this evening’s final at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre at 7.37pm.
