Leatherland's last outing for GL Fabrications Racing came at Snetterton last last month, where he secured a third-place finish.

Now he wants to build upon that for round three.

Competing in round two of the British Junior Supersport championships, part of the support series, he had to battle the conditions in Norfolk.

Following costly mistakes and a technical problem in round one at Donington Park, Leatherland bounced back confidently.

In round two at Snetterton the track took some getting used to due to the conditions, with extremely strong winds causing havoc for riders.

Race one saw Leatherland force his way into the top 10 before a technical problem with the bike saw him drop down and finish in 16th place.

In race two the rain came down hard and Leatherland had to switch to wet tyres.

"The track was very slippy at this point but I got my head down and in a rhythm," he said after finishing the race in third.

"It's a real big confidence boost for me after the streak of bad luck and I now look forward to Silverstone."

Leatherland surrently sits 12th in the rider standings on 17 ponits.

Owen Jenner leads with 95, followed by Seth Crump (67).

Race one will begin at 5.45pm on Saturday, followed by race two at 3.05pm on Sunday.
