Kyle Ryde writes history with third British Superbike Championship title
Kyle Ryde has completed an historic British Superbike Championship three-peat after defending his title once again.
The Jacksdale rider secured his third consecutive BSB title on Sunday after a thrilling season finale at Brands Hatch.

Ryde was pushed all the way to the end by closest title competitor Scott Redding, who took a clean sweep of wins across the weekend. However, a second-place finish in Race One, followed by two third steps on the podium were enough to crown the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing powerhouse the champion for the third year running with a 32-point advantage.
Ryde’s triumph writes his name in the British Superbike history books as he becomes the first rider in the series’ 30 years to win consecutive titles for two different manufacturers. He won his first two titles with Yamaha before making the switch to Ducati ahead of the 2026 season.

Ryde is also the first to claim three Championships in a row since Niall Mackenzie’s successful feat between 1996 and 1998, when the competition began.
“From Assen onwards, I felt like the title was mine to lose,” Ryde told BSB after the final race at Brands Hatch. “But it’s so easily lost, especially when the showdown goes to 25 points, and as you saw in Donington, we lost a race and gave Scott 25 points for free, which made it go down to the last day in the Championship.
“Very nervous times but we’ve come out the other side and every race I’ve finished has been in the top four. It’s been an amazing season and one to remember for sure.
“It’s the best title win by miles. I say that because of the way I reacted when I went over the line, I screamed for a good 15 seconds, it felt so good. I grew up watching Scott on TV and I know how much of a good rider he is, he came second in the World Superbike Championship not that long ago, so to beat him on the exact same machinery over the course of a full season shows how well I’ve done.
“It chalks off something in my head that if the bike is right in any Championship, I’ll be able to do a good job and that’s all that really matters. I’m really happy with the season.”
Ryde stormed to 16 race wins and 15 further podium finishes throughout a dominant 2026 season in BSB.
Moving forward in his already glittering career, Ryde said anything he achieves beyond this historic threepeat is simply a bonus.
“What I set out to do when I came back to the Championship and really started enjoying my racing, the goal was to become a BSB champion and I’ve done it three times on the trot, which is never what I expected. Anything from here is a bonus and I’m just so happy with anything that happens.”
