Kyle Ryde 'really happy' with Thruxton performance after 13th British Superbike win

Kyle Ryde earned his 13th win of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship on Saturday and remains top of the drivers’ standings by 47 points.

It was a mixed weekend of results by the Jacksdale rider’s standards, who opened Round Seven with a win and then went on to record his first finish outside of the top three this season.

Ryde came out on top in Race One, finishing ahead of Rory Skinner and Ryan Vickers, who both earned podium finishes for the first time this campaign. The race was red-flagged following a crash involving Max Cook, who experienced a brief period of unconsciousness and was taken to the Circuit Medical Centre. Cook was then transferred to Southampton hospital for ‘definitive investigation and specialist care’.

After Ryde’s opening win, Race Two saw him finish outside of the top three for the first time in this British Superbike season. The reigning champion came fourth behind Bradley Ray, Scott Redding and winner Vickers. Prior to this result, Ryde had enjoyed a stunning run of 19 consecutive podium places, including four wins in a row between Donington Park and Knockhill.

However, as quickly as fourth-placed had happened, Ryde returned the podium in the final race of the weekend in Hampshire. The Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing star came third, taking his season points tally up to 348. Ray finished second and Vickers enjoyed a double win in a huge weekend for Honda Racing UK.

“That was one of the most enjoyable races I’ve had for ages,” Ryde told BSB after Race Three. “Everyone was passing each other in stupid places and it was just a good race all round. Credit to Ryan and Brad, they rode a good last few laps, had a bit more than me. I was just happy to dig in and finish off what I missed out on earlier. Nice to get back on the box.”

Ryde then took to social media for his usual post-race statement, writing he was ‘really happy’ with how he rode across the weekend.

“Thanks to my team and crew for giving me a solid bike, we all did a good job. Congratulations to Ryan Vickers for a super Sunday.”
