Kyle Ryde aware of threat from British Superbike title rivals ahead of Brands Hatch
Kyle Ryde is well aware of the threat his fellow British Superbike Championship contenders pose ahead of their weekend at Brands Hatch.
The Jacksdale rider currently leads the ZYN British Superbike Championship title standings after 12 races this season.

His impressive run of form in 2026 has not yet seen him finish outside of the podium spaces as he pushes to defend his crown. Ryde’s latest performances at Snetterton saw him clinch his eighth win of the season, putting him on a nice round 200 points at the top of the BSB standings.
However, the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing star is aware of the looming threat Scott Redding and Bradley Ray pose. The two have been Ryde’s closest competition over the last two rounds and both will be looking for opportunities to close the gap on the reigning champion when racing resumes this weekend.
“We are heading to Brands Hatch with a great podium record of being on the podium in all 12 races so far, so a big credit to the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing team for keeping it together and everything working well,” Ryde told BSB ahead of Round Five.
“I am looking forward to Brands Hatch. I rode there a couple of weeks ago on my 250 and the RC30 and had a lot of fun, so I am very much looking forward to it. I can’t wait to really see what the V4 R is going to be like around the Grand Prix circuit, but it has felt good at the track so far, it started difficult at Snetterton but came good in the end.
“We go there still with the Championship lead and obviously the main contenders are 100 percent Scott and Brad, so it should be some great racing. I am looking forward to getting started.”
Ryde claimed the title last season after coming out on top with 522 points. Ray, of McAMS Yamaha, finished 20 points shy of the Jacksdale rider. Ray is currently third in the standings on 139 points after a couple of tough races at Knockhill and Snetterton forced him to withdraw.
Meanwhile, Redding is just 17 points adrift of Ryde in second, with three wins on the board and nine podium finishes from a possible 12 so far.
Ryde’s triumph at Snetterton during the last race of the weekend marked the first time he had won at the Norfolk circuit in British Superbikes. It was a doubly special occasion for him as he also celebrated his 200th race in style.
