Sutton Harriers staged a Coaches’ Handicap Race for all members and friends to run a 5k route around Sutton on the last session before Christmas.
This year they had 27 runners taking part and fastest was Richard Robinson in a time of 16.36mins, which was a course record.
The other times were: Steve Welham 18.34, Rob Roper18.54, Nick Luke 19.07, Simon Gray 20.11, Tracy Holmes 20.18 (who won the ladies’ handicap), Gary Bird 21,04, Keith Brown 21.05, Mark Smith 21.51(who won the men’s handicap), Mark Price 21.56, Claire Watson 22.00, Conrad Watson 22.54, Bill Powis 22.57, Kate Simpson 23.39, Bev Dawes 23.53, Tony Staniland V70+ 24.09, Paul Beasley 24.13, Tom 24.57, James Roper under 15 25.16, Julie Powis 25.21, Ken Hensby V70 25.24, Phil Bird 28.01, Michael Bird 29.10, John Dale V65 29.30Craig Jeacock 32.24, Craig Freestone 33.03, and newcomer Emma Taylor 42.11.
Afterwards a social evening was held at the local welfare where the prizes were given out and a buffet was served. The whole event was organised by all the club’s endurance coaches
