Sting sign off with Stars win

SUTTON Sting U14s hosted their last ice hockey game of the season, and, playing for double points, saw off Northern Stars 8-2.

Sting started the first period with a wake up call, when the guests scored within 22 seconds.

Gathering their composure, Sting drew the battle lines by scoring less than a minute later and then going ahead.

But the Stars were not going down without a fight as they drew level before Sutton edged the period 3-2.

Another was added in the second before four more well structured goals completed the win.

Scorers were Harry Bridges, Joseph Smith (3), Cory Martin (2), George Crawshaw and Curtis Lee while Owen Lawton was named man of the match.
