Ravenshead badminton star Chris Adcock will be out to successfully retain his coveted mixed doubles national title when he competes at the English National Badminton Championships at K2 Crawley.
The 25 year-old won gold and silver for England at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and is currently ranked six in the world alongside wife, Gabby Adcock.
He has been crowned national champion four times, winning the mixed doubles title twice in 2012 and 2014.
Now Adcock will head to Sussex looking to make it a hat-trick of mixed doubles title wins when the Championships take place between 30th January and 1st February.
The London 2012 Olympian will be amongst the favourites to retain the mixed doubles title, but is not set to defend his men’s doubles crown, following changes to doubles pairing in the build up to Rio 2016.
The Glasgow 2014 star is one of more than 200 of England’s best badminton players in the hunt for national glory at the 2015 English National Badminton Championships.
The list of players set to compete at K2 Crawley also includes former World Champion and Olympic silver medallist Gail Emms MBE and seven-time national champion Rajiv Ouseph
