MANSFIELD Riley’s pool player Kev Seaman has just returned from a very successful week, winning two titles in the World Blackball Pool Championships at Blackpool’s famous Norbreck Castle.
Kev (42) plays in the men’s senior A team and 15 nations descended on Blackpool to play in singles, pairs and team events.
The local star eventually won the senior men’s pairs event with tea mate Steve Woodier, beating a pair from Wales 7-3 in the final.
He then landed a second gold and world title in the singles as he beat pairs partner Woodier 8-4 in the final.
But Kev failed to make it a hat-trick as Scotland pipped England 13-11 in the team final.
However, Kev, who runs his own digital aerial and satellite business in Worksop, had proved right his manager, Harvey Elmhirst’s prediction that he could become a world champion correct.
Kev plays for Nottinghamshire Blackball County side in Mansfield and the team is planning to move to a new pool venue, The Towers, in two months, which will house nine brand new tables and become one of the best pool venues in the country.
Anyone interested in joining Nottinghamshire County Pool system can contact Harvey on 07854 442985.
Kev is also available for pool exhibition nights.
