Sherwood Wolf Hunt moved to the next level on Saturday, when they comprehensively beat the well-established Nottingham Outlaws for the first time.

Dubbed the City versus County Shield game, the Wolf Hunt tore the Outlaws apart in the first half to win 54-30.

Now fifth in the Midlands league, the Wolf Hunt bounced back from a dismal display in Boston last week to play flowing powerful rugby.

It left Outlaws floundering in defence for the majority of the game as the progressing Wolf Hunt took another important step in their long term development.
