Mansfield/ Nova disability swimmer, Ollie Hynd smashed his personal best to take a silver medal at the IPC European Championships in Berlin, behind his brother and Paralympic champion, Sam, in the Mens S8 400m Freestyle.
Ollie now has two bronze medals from the 100m backstroke on day one and now silver from day three.
Mansfield’s Charlotte Henshaw, swimming in the Women’s S8 400m freestyle, had a great swim to take fifth place, after a terrific battle with competitors from Holland and Denmark.
Charlotte had already taken a silver medal in the Women’s SB6 100m breaststroke on day two.
The anticipated battle with Paralympic champion Liz Johnson did not disappoint, and both were stroke for stroke for 95m of the 100m, with Liz just getting the touch.
