Twelve teams from a variety of local organisations entered the annual Farnsfield Village Bowls Match at an end of season festival of bowls.
This annual event has been held for many years in support of the First Responders. This is a voluntary group supporting the community in medical emergencies received by the NHS and providing potentially life-saving treatment until an ambulance arrives.
The teams competing for the trophy, many containing first time bowlers, represented the many organisations which flourish in the village.
This year’s victorious team from the Farnsfield Local History Society won after a very tense ‘play-off’ against The Royal British Legion.
Mr Peter Teather, of the First Responders, was presented with £156 which was raised on the day. He thanked the club for their efforts.
