Seaman, who has had world and European success in the past, and Hartley, a Nations Cup singles winner, produced a great final.

Hartley went 3-0 ahead before Seaman made it 3-2.

Hartley extended his lead again to 4-2 but the Worksop man fought back to level at 4-4.

Hartley went ahead again only for Seaman to take the next two legs to retain the title.
