Carl Froch will give boxing fans the chance to observe his final preparations with a public workout session just days before stepping into the ring at Wembley stadium to face George Groves.

The IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion will be turning out at intu Broadmarsh in the city on Bank Holiday Monday ahead of the hotly-anticipated rematch with George Groves.

Nearly 80,000 people will pack the national stadium on 31st May for the title fight with millions more watching the biggest ever bout in UK history in pubs and bars around the nation.

The boxing champ has visited the shopping centre twice before, including last year before his victory in the ‘Battle of Britain’ over Groves in the ninth round in Manchester.

Froch said: “The support I have received throughout my career in Nottingham has always been so important to be and I hope the fans turn out in force on Monday.”

Froch controversially stopped Groves in the ninth round of their first meeting in November after the challenger had floored the Nottingham star in the opening round.
