With a white over frost at the start of the match peg 31 was the place to be at Sherwood Forest Fishery’s match at Holmedale Lake on 3rd December.

And it was Craig Brazier who drew it, fishing the pole and maggot over the bore hole and the wagler and maggot cast to the lily pad he landed carp – 5lb steady through the match finishing well in front with 61lb 1oz.

The Tuesday Open at Sherwood Lake had a very tight finish.

But it was Andy Lakey that came out top fishing the pole and maggot at the side of the small island at peg 28, landing a mixed net of skimmers, roach and perch – 12oz.
