Nottinghamshire RFU Junior Cup holders Ashfield will be looking to move one step nearer retaining their crown when they entertain East Retford in their semi-final tomorrow.
It would be the perfect end to a season to remember for Ashfield following their promotion.
Mark Denman, Ashfield’s director of rugby, said: “Achieving promotion was great for the club especially with our new home, Larwood Park, on the horizon, but with a final at stake, this game against East Retford is massive.
“Our previous encounters this season have been close games with Ashfield coming out on top in both. East Retford will bring their hard, aggressive game that we must match and I am sure the guys will relish the challenge”.
With 19 points separating the two side in the league, and two victories by Ashfield over their local rivals, Ashfield will be favourites to progress.
