The British swimmer has become a brand ambassador for the swimwear brand, and joined Team Speedo, to share his passion for the sport while endorsing their products.

Hynd, 20, made a name for himself in the London 2012 Paralympics, taking SM8 200m individual medley gold as well as silver in the 400m freestyle and bronze in the 100m backstroke.

More recently the Paralympic champion represented Team GB and dazzled the crowds with a world record breaking performance at the IPC Championships in Glasgow in July, retaining his world title in the 200m individual medley SM8.

“Speedo is a brand I have trusted since I began swimming,” he said.

“I love being in the water whether I am training, competing or just having fun, and I am excited to be a part of Team Speedo and share my passion and with others and inspire them to get in the water, which is what the legacy of sport is all about.”

Justine Whitby, commercial director UK at Speedo International added: “We’re very excited to welcome Ollie to Team Speedo and work with someone who shares our passion and can help us inspire more people to swim.

“Ollie’s achievements speak for themselves and we are very proud that he’s now part of Team Speedo and he has a great future in swimming ahead of him with full support from the brand.”
