Mansfield’s All Saints’ storm to victory at Berry Hill

All Saints’ School, Mansfield, won the Intermediate Girls Athletics Championships held at Berry Hill Park with a massive 254 points - 100 points ahead of second-placed Samworth Church Academy.

All Saints were second in the Junior Boys, two points behind Manor, Junior Girls and Intermediate Boys.

Twenty two of the students will represent Mansfield at the County Championships to be held at Harvey Haddon Stadium, Nottingham this Friday.

Among them will be Thomas Peters (Intermediate Boys) who threw 58 metres 90 in the javelin to achieve English Schools qualification and a new school record.

Brunts School had 10 students finish first or second in their individual event to qualify for the County Championships on Friday.

At Berry Hill the Intermediate Boys (Years 10/11) came first with third places for the Junior Boys (Years eight/nine) and Junior Girls plus fourth spot for the Intermediate Girls.
