Mansfield Lawn Tennis Club announce special membership price to welcome players back from lockdown
Mansfield Lawn Tennis Club has introduced a special £20 adult membership covering the whole of April.
The introduction coincides with the re-opening of the club on Monday, March 29 as Covid restrictions are relaxed.
It’s an ideal opportunity for anyone thinking of taking up or coming back to the sport to come down to the club and play.
The Pheasant Hill -based club will be running four social tennis sessions per week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, so there will be plenty of opportunity to have a hit with someone and get to know existing members.
Those who decide to join the club for the new season - which runs from May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022 - will also have opportunity to play competitive tennis this summer as the Nottinghamshire Lawn Tennis Association local leagues have been revived.
“No competitive tennis was possible during 2020 but we are hopeful that the Notts summer league will get underway this time,” commented club membership secretary Helen Riby.
“We’ve entered three men’s teams, three ladies’ team and three mixed this time,” she adds.
For those who want to improve their game and fitness levels coaching and cardio tennis is provided by the club’s partners, Inspire2Coach.
The membership offer is available via the club’s website.
Helen continued: “We’ve also taken the opportunity to update out website during this latest lockdown so I’d like to encourage anyone who’s interested in our sport to take a look.”
To help with social distancing the club has also launched an online court booking system for members.
Details of full annual membership deals will be announced shortly.
