Anuk Sampathawaduge Fernando struck a fine run-a-ball century as bottom-of-the-table Mansfield Hosiery Mills claimed only their second win of the season.

The Millers closed on 254 for seven after Daniel Harris hit a late unbeaten 20.

In reply, Fernando was equally effective with the ball.

He reduced Caythorpe to 47 for two and returned to take the final two wickets as the visitors were bowled out for 229.

In between, a third-wicket stand of 119 looked to have given Caythorpe the advantage, but they collapsed from 166 for two to 169 for six.

Ekroop Saib claimed three for 40, including the vital wicket of James Oldham for 97, and Chamikara Mudalige three for 43.

After slipping to 94 for three, the visitors were boosted by Callum McKenzie’s unbeaten 69 to reach 213 for nine.

But it wasn’t enough, despite three wickets apiece for Sam Routledge and David Loveridge, as the home side won with 10 overs to spare.
