Inexperienced Sutton celebrate victory

Sutton Swimming Club are celebrating victory in the Notts ASA Stage One Trophy Gala at Lammas Leisure Centre last weekend.

A young and largely inexperienced team of Sutton swimmers came out on top on the night as a new wave of swimmers showed what they were capable of achieving.

The team on the night was made up of eight girls which included gala debutant Molly Etherington aged eight and nine boys which also included gala debutant Lewis Cooper, aged eight.

The team on the night amassed 184 points, which included a fabulous 26 race victories.

Second on the night were Bramcote on 145 points with third place going to Falcon on 123 points.

Special mentions go to Lewis Cooper and Molly Etherington, who secured their first individual victories in competitive swimming for the club, whose future looks very bright.
