Performance of the day in the Mansfield & District League Section One on Sunday came from Coal Aston, who made 275-5 before bowling out Frecheville for just 31, the damage being done by J. Harrison, who finished with bowling figures of 8.4 overs, five maidens, eight wickets for six runs.
The Premier Section also saw Welbeck (282-5) convincingly beat Mansfield Hosiery Mills (51) by 321 runs.
Aston Hall (258-7), with N. Ward making a level century, continue to set the pace in Section One following their weekend win over Eastwood (120) to open up a 47-point lead on the second place team.
In Section Two Handsworth (111) went top after winning a low-scoring match against Coal Aston (78) while Section Three saw Whiston Parish Council (89-1) go top of the table after a nine wicket win over Sherwood (88)
Mansfield II (139-6) recorded their first win in Section Four by beating Calow (51), with E. Colley taking 5-11.
In Section Five, Byron Abbey (134) continued their unbeaten run with a win over Anston II (48) with another fine bowling performance by C. Cooke with 4-4.
Langwith (161-6) hold onto top spot with a 10-run win over Dronfield Woodhouse (151) in Section Six
In Section Seven Nomads (95-8) hung on for a losing draw with Edwinstowe (234-9), spoiling their 100 per cent record.
