Hosting Papplewick and Linby 2nd, they amassed 303-7 in their allotted 46 overs with every batsman contributing to the runfest, most notably captain James Peacock, who hammered 71 (four sixes and seven fours) off only 44 deliveries.

Sam Wagstaff also hit 50 (eight fours), while Aaron Rhodes rapped 39 (four fours), Andy Edwards 33 (six fours) and Pascal Broadley 31 (one six and three fours).

In reply, Papplewick’s batsmen fared as badly as their bowlers, slumping to 147 all out, despite 43 from Adam Rostance. The chief destroyers for Edwinstowe were Adam Walters with 5-28 and Broadley with 4-66.
