In what was another feather in the cap for the club, Molly Etherington, Chloe Coleman, Tom Polley and Toby Thorpe were invited by the Nottinghamshire Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) to the event, held at Nottingham University. It included both a classroom session and a pool-training session, and all four swimmers enjoyed the experience.

Meanwhile Sutton’s competitive squad continues to improve and both the A and B teams won the latest galas in the Notts Sports Centre League to maintain their 100 per cent records.

The A team ran out comfortable winners in Division One at Worksop Leisure Centre, securing 258 points from the 49 events, fully 60 points clear of runners-up Sherwood Colliery. They finished first in no fewer than 27 races.

The B team also romped home in their Division Three gala at the Lammas Leisure Centre in Sutton after amassing 174 points and winning 31 of the 49 events. In second place on 142 points were Arnold.

The results mean that the A team are on track to retain their title, while the B team look strong favourites for promotion to Division Two.
