In-form Sutton secure Doughty Trophy
Sutton Swimming Club’s team of 13 boys and 12 girls continued their fine early season form by winning the Michael Doughty Trophy Gala at the Lammas Leisure Centre.
Sutton secured success with 206 gala points on the night. Kimberley SC were close runners-up with 198, Falcon SC finished third with 164 points, Southwell SC finished fourth with 152 points and Nottingham Northern finished in fifth with 150 points.
The Sutton team had a mixture of youth and experience which resulted in Sutton swimmers winning 15 of the 45 events available along with a considerable number of personal best times along the way.
